The Innovative Governance for Large Urban System (Innovative Governance for Large Urban System) program is located in Switzerland at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne and is in partnership with Europe’s largest industrial enterprises. IGLUS is a research program aimed at improving the management of large, complex and dynamic urban systems. A systemic approach focuses on the complex relationship between infrastructure, institutions, individuals, citizens and ICT through a strongly interdisciplinary and action-oriented approach. They are one of only five accredited programs in Europe by Smart City.

How does the program work?

IGLUS is structured in a series of two-week intensive on-the-job modules in major metropolitan areas around the world. During the training of the team, all interested parties of the city administration are united.
The program is present in Lyon, Dortmund, New Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, New York, Seoul, Nairobi, Singapore, Detroit, Mexico City, Barankiya in collaboration with the best local universities. Thanks to the laboratory of the Smart City in the city of Almaty we will be able to have access to applied projects and strategic development of the above-mentioned cities.
