A System to Analyze Quarantine Regime in Almaty Based on Data from Mobile Operators

 

A system was developed for analyzing movement of citizens based on data from mobile operators, in order to track the index of social isolation. Aggregated depersonalized data allows to identify places where mobile subscribers concentrate and, based on this information, calculate related correlations when integrating with other data sources.

The analysis was based on data from mobile operators from 27 April to 01 May 2020 for Almaty city, in particular, the number of violations of quarantine regime and peak hours in places of people’s concentration.
